The Heavy Metal group said in a statement:

Join us and do all you can to help us, as we are committed, through our All Within My Hands foundation, to donate $ 750,000 Australian dollars to the New South Wales Rural Fire Services and field fire officials in Victoria to assist in relief efforts.

At least 25 people have died since the fires started in September. Nearly a billion animals have died, and hundreds of homes and habitats have been destroyed. Over 100 fires remain active while firefighters are struggling to contain them.

Although the fires are believed to have started naturally, experts believe that man-made climatic disturbances have exacerbated the hot, arid conditions that fuel the growth of these fires. As Australia has barely entered the summer season, with temperatures reaching their peak in January and February, fires in the country could last for months.
